This documentation explains how Hosts configure payments, manage contracts, handle financial activities, and operate payment-related systems on SupaSpace.

Understanding Payment Options

Payment Options define:

  • how Guests pay,
  • when Guests pay,
  • how contracts are structured,
  • and how financial rules operate.

Every Space uses at least one Payment Option.

A Space may contain multiple Payment Options.

Examples include:

  • Quick Payment
  • Pay at Arrival
  • Installment Plan
  • Flexible Lease Payment
  • Milestone Payment

Payment Options are reusable and may be attached to multiple Spaces.

Creating Payment Options

To create a Payment Option:

  1. Open the Payment Options page.
  2. Select Create Payment Option.
  3. Configure payment details.
  4. Configure pricing rules.
  5. Configure duration settings.
  6. Configure penalties and deadlines.
  7. Save the Payment Option.
  8. Attach the option to Spaces.

Payment Option Structure

A Payment Option contains multiple sections:

  • Basic Details
  • Price Settings
  • Duration Rules
  • Guest Rules
  • Advance Rules
  • Deadlines and Penalties
  • Installment Configuration

Basic Details

FieldDescription
NameThe name of the payment option

Payment Types

Payment Types define the payment structure.

Outright

Guests must make full payment immediately.

Important:

  • Contracts are not initiated until payment is completed.
  • Only one primary certificate is created.

Best for:

  • immediate bookings,
  • short stays,
  • and direct purchases.

Later but Outright

Works similarly to Outright, but:

  • the contract becomes active before payment.

Commonly used for:

  • pay-at-arrival arrangements.

Now and Later

Requires partial payment initially.

The remaining amount may be paid later.

Important:

  • a down payment may be required,
  • and contracts are not initiated until the required initial payment is made.

Installment

Distributes payment across time.

Certificates may be generated progressively.

Best for:

  • leases,
  • large purchases,
  • and long-term agreements.

Installment Types

Installment Types control how installment payments operate.

Fixed

The total contract amount is distributed evenly across the contract duration.

Best for:

  • predictable payment schedules.

Flexible

Hosts manually create payment certificates.

Best for:

  • custom arrangements,
  • ownership projects,
  • or unpredictable timelines.

Milestone

Works similarly to Flexible.

Designed for:

  • milestone-based projects,
  • construction,
  • or staged agreements.

Guest Custom

Guests create certificates themselves.

Hosts cannot create certificates.

Recommended only for advanced or highly flexible payment arrangements.
