This documentation explains how Hosts configure payments, manage contracts, handle financial activities, and operate payment-related systems on SupaSpace.
Understanding Payment Options
Payment Options define:
- how Guests pay,
- when Guests pay,
- how contracts are structured,
- and how financial rules operate.
Every Space uses at least one Payment Option.
A Space may contain multiple Payment Options.
Examples include:
- Quick Payment
- Pay at Arrival
- Installment Plan
- Flexible Lease Payment
- Milestone Payment
Payment Options are reusable and may be attached to multiple Spaces.
Creating Payment Options
To create a Payment Option:
- Open the Payment Options page.
- Select Create Payment Option.
- Configure payment details.
- Configure pricing rules.
- Configure duration settings.
- Configure penalties and deadlines.
- Save the Payment Option.
- Attach the option to Spaces.

A Payment Option contains multiple sections:

Basic Details

Payment Types
Payment Types define the payment structure.
Outright
Guests must make full payment immediately.
Important:
- Contracts are not initiated until payment is completed.
- Only one primary certificate is created.
Best for:
- immediate bookings,
- short stays,
- and direct purchases.
Later but Outright
Works similarly to Outright, but:
- the contract becomes active before payment.
Commonly used for:
- pay-at-arrival arrangements.
Now and Later
Requires partial payment initially.
The remaining amount may be paid later.
Important:
- a down payment may be required,
- and contracts are not initiated until the required initial payment is made.
Installment
Distributes payment across time.
Certificates may be generated progressively.
Best for:
- leases,
- large purchases,
- and long-term agreements.
Installment Types
Installment Types control how installment payments operate.
Fixed
The total contract amount is distributed evenly across the contract duration.
Best for:
- predictable payment schedules.
Flexible
Hosts manually create payment certificates.
Best for:
- custom arrangements,
- ownership projects,
- or unpredictable timelines.
Milestone
Works similarly to Flexible.
Designed for:
- milestone-based projects,
- construction,
- or staged agreements.
Guest Custom
Guests create certificates themselves.
Hosts cannot create certificates.
Recommended only for advanced or highly flexible payment arrangements.
Price Configuration
Price settings determine:
- base cost,
- discounts,
- pricing calculations,
- and payment requirements.

Estimated Pricing
Hosts may configure prices as:
True Price
Final price is considered accurate.
Estimated Price
Price may later increase or decrease.
Hosts may later:
- request additional payment, OR
- refund Guests if actual costs differ.
Discount Codes
Hosts may create discount codes.
Important Notes:
- Codes are case-sensitive.
- Multiple codes still count as one discount.
- Codes should be distributed carefully.
Down Payments
Hosts may require down payments.
Down payments:
- define the minimum amount required,
- and may be mandatory before contract initiation.
Guests may pay more than the minimum amount.

SupaSpace service fees are normally paid by Guests.
Hosts may choose to cover service fees.

Duration Styles
Flexible
Guests select:
- check-in date,
- and check-out date.
Fixed
Hosts define:
- exact start dates,
- and exact end dates.
Guests must comply with the configured duration.
Owned
Used for ownership transfer.
No occupancy duration is calculated.
Recommended for:
Sale- and
BiddingSpaces.
Guest Count Rules
Hosts may define:
- minimum Guests,
- and maximum Guests.
Important:
- users aged 13 and above are considered Guests unless Conditions specify otherwise.
- pets are not considered Guests unless Conditions specify otherwise.
Advance Rules
Advance Rules control:
- cancellations,
- reschedules,
- delayed payments,
- and partial payments.
Reschedule Rules
Hosts may allow:

Additional charges may apply.
Hosts should clearly communicate:
- expectations,
- penalties,
- and payment timelines.
Penalties and Deadlines
Penalty systems help enforce payment timelines.

Overdue Actions
Wait
Certificates remain payable.
Penalize
Additional costs apply.
Cancel
Certificates become invalid.
Guests can no longer fulfill them.
Recursive Penalties
Recursive penalties repeatedly add extra charges.
